Legislative impacts to the law enforcement profession seem to be never ending. The Summit serves as the One Day each year that California public safety’s community speaks with a single and collaborative voice. This program serves as your rare opportunity to join interactive discussions about legislation and policy and work with colleagues statewide on what will be needed in 2020 to address these recent criminal justice reforms.

Lobby Action Day provides attendees with first-hand exposure to important public safety advocacy practices that benefit their agencies and the profession. After a quick session on legislative trends and bills to watch, meetings will be set up with legislators from your jurisdiction, giving you the exclusive opportunity to impact key issues of interest.

The easiest way to register a group of individuals is using our online system. To choose group registration, click the registration link at the top of this page. Login to our system or create an account. Then, on the registration page, click the second blue button indicating group registration for your agency. On the following screen, click the green button that says “Register an Attendee” and search for attendees you wish to register. Follow the prompts to complete the registration process.

Cancellation Policy:

Lobby Action Day fee is nonrefundable. Cancellation fee for Legislative Summit is $25 until February 3rd. After February 3rd, all fees are nonrefundable. Substitutions are encouraged. All requests for refunds, cancellations, and substitutions must be sent in writing to the CPOA office via email at cpoa@cpoa.org or fax at 916-520-2277.

Substitution Policy:

CPOA encourages you to make a substitution if a registrant cannot attend; substitutions will be accepted prior to the event in writing and on-site.
