Sideshows & Street Racing Sponsored by Region IV
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm PST
June 21st, 2022

How do you respond to street racing and sideshow incidents you know about? What about ones you don’t?

Hear a group of local responders discuss intelligence gathering (social media), formulating an ops plan, gathering resources and what’s available (plain clothes? Air? Tows on standby?), handling the event enforcement wise (use of air, stopping vehicles going in, etc.), then following up with seizure warrants (brief overview, success stories, etc.).  This is all of course if there is enough time to prepare and resources are available.

This session will also discuss how to handle an event either short notice and/or already in progress.  We will discuss stopping the event if possible (CHPD blocking off the parking lot and denying entry), the use of air (if available), best practices and lessons learned, officer safety concerns, etc.

Drone as First Responder (DFR) Sponsored by Region IX

August 9th, 2022

Presented by Lt. John English of the Chula Vista Police Department

The Chula Vista Police Department was the first Law Enforcement agency in the state to develop, and utilize drones as first responders. Lt. English will give a brief overview of their program and share some lessons learned.

International Law Enforcement Training (ILET) Network
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm PST
October 11th, 2022

Presented by Adam Kinakin, Founder

In Spring 2019, Adam Kinakin started a new podcast called The Tactical Breakdown Podcast. The core premise was to give members of the public safety, emergency response, and military a “behind-the-scenes” look at how we create training.

The podcast got immediate traction within Law Enforcement circles, quickly reaching 50,000 downloads in over 82 countries.

In December 2019, a conversation started around delivering unmatched access to training to officers around the world. This initial concept became what is now the ILET Summit.

Fast forward to March 2020, Covid-19 restrictions have effectively shut down all training around the world and the inaugural International Law Enforcement Training (ILET) Summit is hosted 100% online to approx 10,000 law enforcement professionals from 76 countries.
