Collaborate with fellow public safety professionals at the 27th Annual Law Enforcement Legislative Summit, March 12-13, 2019 in Sacramento.

Speakers and discussions will focus on legislation impacting the profession and the future of public safety.

Don’t miss the opportunity to not only become more involved and effective in the public policy arena, but to collaboratively interact with all significant partners in the process. Legislative Summit is your chance to learn what critical issues are facing public safety and how you can personally influence the outcome of key bills and public safety funding that will affect your agency and your profession.

Lobby Action Day will give attendees the opportunity to learn about how the practice of advocacy benefits their agencies, and give insight into the legislative process first hand. The session will include an opportunity to learn more about how you can personally influence the outcome of public safety bills and budget proposals. The Summit serves as the One Day each year that public safety speaks with a collaborative voice. This program serves as your opportunity to join interactive discussions about legislation impacting the public safety profession and work with colleagues statewide on what will be  needed in 2019 to address recent criminal justice reforms. The easiest way to register a group of individuals is using our online system. To choose group registration, click the registration link at the top of this page. Login to our system or create an account. Then, on the registration page, click the second blue button indicating group registration for your agency. On the following screen, click the green button that says “Register an Attendee” and search for attendees you wish to register. Follow the prompts to complete the registration process.

Cancellation Policy:

Lobby Action Day fee is nonrefundable. Cancellation fee for Legislative Summit is $25 until February 9th. After February 9th, all fees are nonrefundable. Substitutions are encouraged. All requests for refunds, cancellations, and substitutions must be sent in writing to the CPOA office via email at cpoa@cpoa.org or fax at 916-520-2277.

Substitution Policy:

CPOA encourages you to make a substitution if a student cannot attend the course; substitutions will be accepted prior to the course in writing and on-site.
