CPOA has been proud to provide our supervisory, managerial, and executive level members with our Legal Services Program (LSP). Recently, however, the LSP Board of Trustees agreed to move forward with dissolving our current LSP plan and transitioning it over the Legal Defense Plan (LDP) of the Fraternal Order of Police. This transition to FOP will not impact our ability to service current LSP policy holders.
The reasons for moving to FOP’s plan was due to the liabilities regarding the current LSP plan, as well as the variety of options that FOP’s more expansive plan offers.
Therefore, until the LSP Board of Trustees officially votes to dissolve the current plan (which we expect at the end of January 2022), we can not accept new applications for LSP. We apologize for this delay, but new applications would impact this transition.

Thank you for your interest in our Legal Services Plan (LSP).
