First Responders must operate at a high level at all times during stressful and high-risk situations which is why we created the Victory Mindset Mental Health & Wellness Summit for First Responders. We focus on what matters: mental health, peer support, leadership, and health optimization for peak performance. Our events are created by first responders for first responders. The goal of this summit is to provide training on stress management, fitness & nutrition, biological health & longevity, leadership, and resilience with real first responder stories of survival and recovery. Join us in Burlingame, California on March 3rd to learn from some of the very best subject matter experts in the nation on mental and physical health for the everyday first responder. This event is endorsed by CPOA and California Affiliated Risk Management Authorities (CARMA) and is supported by MCHN Strength, OPT Health, Jocko Fuel, Amen Clinics, Lighthouse for Public Safety, First Responder Wellness, and more.

AK Dozanti MA

Founder, Life Saver Wellness

AK Dozanti, MA is a former Deputy Sheriff turned nationally recognized speaker, author, and wellness specialist for first responders. After experiencing burnout, PTSD, and the physical toll of frontline service herself, AK shifted her career to focus on saving the lives of the life-savers. AK Dozanti is the founder of Life Saver Wellness and author of Beat the Burnout: Prevention and Recovery Solutions for Frontline Professionals, a #1 Amazon new release and her latest book Responder Reset: 99 Real Time Tactics for Frontline Regulation. Through keynote speaking, training, and coaching, she equips law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, corrections, and healthcare professionals with tactical, science-backed tools to prevent burnout, regulate the nervous system, and build sustainable operational longevity.

Rebecca Rouse & Joel Del Rosario

Founding Partners, Semper Stronger

Rebecca Rouse is a strength coach, competitive weightlifter, and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in fitness. Joel Del Rosario is an active-duty Marine Corps officer with 20 years of service, multiple combat deployments, and a Purple Heart. Together, they co-founded Semper Stronger, a fitness company that empowers individuals to build physical and mental resilience through strength training. They also co-founded the Semper Stronger Foundation, helping military, veterans, and first responders improve their health. In 2025, they merged with Team MCHN to form MCHN Strength, focusing on education and empowerment for both tactical and civilian populations. Finally, both are sponsored Jocko Fuel athletes.

Roger Schei

Chief, Pocatello Police Department

Roger Schei has served in law enforcement for 34 years, over 30 have been with the Pocatello Police Department where he currently serves as Chief of Police. Chief Schei has experience working in every division in different capacities, which has assisted him in being a well-versed officer. Chief Schei has a widespread training background, including the FBI National Academy (class #257), FBI Command College, and several other leadership courses. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Herzing University in Criminal Justice and an Executive Certificate through Idaho Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST). Chief Schei has experience as a Master Defensive Tactics Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and General Topics Instructor through Idaho POST. He has an extensive background in writing and developing policies, procedures, strategic/action plans, lesson plans, and budgets. He has served on the state level in different capacities, including the Governor’s Task Force Esto Perpetua, Idaho Public Safety Information System (ILETS), and the Idaho Chiefs of Police Association (ICOPA) President. He has also served locally as the President of the board for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children and as Chair of the Idaho State University Police Academy Technical Advisory Committee. Chief Schei is mission-driven and believes that every problem is a leadership problem. He believes in working with his community to continue to build relationships and move law enforcement in a positive direction even during difficult times.

Dr. Cherylynn Lee, PhD

Police Psychologist, Santa Barbara Police Department

Dr. Cherylynn Lee, a police psychologist with the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office since 2016, specializes in law enforcement operations and officer wellness. She manages the Behavioral Sciences Unit, overseeing Mental Health Co-Response Teams, Crisis Intervention Training, and Wellness. Dr. Lee is a subject matter expert frequently sought for training and consultation across California. She leads critical incident stress debriefs and maintains a private practice focusing on trauma and first responders. Dr. Lee is also a director and practitioner at The Counseling Team International, offering counseling, training, and emergency response services. Recognized for her expertise, she was named one of IACP’s 40 Under 40 in 2023 and earned multiple awards in 2024.

Cancellation Policy
Effective 8/1/18

All cancellations and substitutions MUST be in writing and directed to the CPOA Training Coordinator cpoa@cpoa.org. All refunds will be processed within 30 days from the written date of the cancellation request.

Cancellations made 30 calendar days or more from the first day of your registered course will be refunded minus a $30 cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 29 calendar days to 10 calendar days from the first day of your registered course will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made 9 calendar days or less from the first day of your registered course are NOT eligible to receive a refund.

*Registrants who cannot attend a course are strongly encouraged to find a substitution.



Substitution Policy

CPOA encourages you to make a substitution if a student cannot attend the course; substitutions will be accepted prior to the course in writing and on-site.

CPOA will not register anyone for a class unless payment has been received in full. If you are not able to provide payment with registration you may provide a credit card to hold the seat. However, all students must be paid in full 10 days prior to the class. If payment is not received and a card has been given to hold the seat, it will be charged.
